About the race

Cheesy Pretzel 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk is an annual community running and walking event presented by Heart Haven OutReach (H2O) in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The event page lists race results from multiple years and acknowledges sponsors and volunteers who supported the most recent edition.

The event offers two course options:

5K run
1 Mile Fun Walk

Organizers maintain a Charity of Choice program that lets registered groups raise funds for their selected cause. To become an official Charity of Choice an application is required; after approval a registered team member may collect donations online or in person and 100% of those collected donations go directly to the chosen organization. The event page includes overall and age-group results for many past years, including entries from 2012 through 2026. The organizers thanked participants, sponsors, and volunteers for the 2026 event and announced the next scheduled Cheesy Pretzel 5K and 1 Mile Walk for Sunday, October 3, 2027.
