Event Overview
The Cheesy Pretzel 5K and 1 Mile Walk will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The event consists of two separate activities: a timed 5k run and an untimed 1 Mile Walk.
Event Details
The certified 5k course winds through The Promenade Bolingbrook and surrounding neighborhoods. All participants in both the 5k and the 1 Mile Walk receive an order of pretzel bites and cheese. The first 550 registered participants also receive a moisture-wicking long sleeve shirt and a finisher medal. Shirt sizes are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis according to registration date. Registered runners must be at least 5 years old.
The 1 Mile Walk is an untimed event with a course that stays on The Promenade Bolingbrook property. Strollers and walkers are welcome; stroller riders participate for free but do not receive a shirt or medal.
Registration and Logistics
Registration fees start at $30 and increase on set dates leading up to the event. Race day registration is available for $45. The event proceeds support Heart Haven OutReach, a local organization providing mentoring and programs for teens.
Awards will be presented for the 5k event, with trophies for the fastest overall male and female runners and medals for top finishers in various age categories. Advance packet pickup is available on specific dates prior to the event at Star Cinema Grill in Bolingbrook.
