Chasing Santa - Long Beach
Chasing Santa takes place at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr, Long Beach, CA, on 12/20/2026. The event offers multiple running distances along a coastal out and back route that begins and ends at the same location.

- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
- 10 Mile - 10 Miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles
The courses run entirely on the beach path and are not closed to other users, so runners are asked to stay on the right side of the pedestrian path. Course markings include chalk, runner turn signs, and flags. On-course support includes two water stations and restrooms.
Logistics include early bib pick-up the day before at Sports Basement Long Beach and on-site bib pickup at the start on race day. Parking in the nearby lot is $2 per hour, and street parking is free; some distances may use a parking payment app. A staffed gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag.
All finishers receive a race medal. Overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Results and race photos are sent by email the day after the event, and race photos are free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
