Chasing Santa Half Marathon

Event
The Chasing Santa run takes place on December 21, 2025, at Claremont Beach, Long Beach, CA (5400 E Ocean Ave). The event is organized by High Tide Runs and offers these distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10-Miler
- Half marathon
All finishers receive a finishing medal. Overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Race results and photos are distributed after the event; race photos are free.
Course and logistics
The event uses out-and-back courses that begin and end at the same location. The 5K route is used for the 5K (one lap) and the 10K (two laps). The 5-mile route is used for the 10-mile (two laps). The half marathon combines two laps of the 5-mile route plus one lap of the 5K route. The course stays on the beach path and is not closed to other users; all participants must stay on the pedestrian side of the path.
On-course support includes two water stations and restrooms. Turns are marked with chalk, signs, and flags. Runners should wear their race bib on the front of their shirt. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants must provide their own bag. Early bib pick-up is available on Saturday at Sports Basement Long Beach (2100 N Bellflower Blvd).
