Chasing Santa - Long Beach
Chasing Santa is a holiday-themed running event held along the Long Beach coast at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr, Long Beach, CA. The event includes multiple race distances and is presented as a festive, community-oriented day on the beach path.
The courses are out and back and remain on the beach pedestrian path for their entire length. The path is not closed to the public, so runners and walkers share the route with other users and must stay on the right side. The courses are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags. On-course support includes two water stations and restrooms located along the route.
Race logistics include on-site bib pick-up on race morning and early bib pick-up available the day before at Sports Basement Long Beach. Participants are asked to wear their race bib on the front of their shirt for timing and photo identification. A gear check is offered at the registration tent; participants must bring their own bag. Parking options note a lot with paid parking at $2 per hour and free street parking; the lot accepts payment through the Passport app for some distances.
All finishers receive a race medal. Overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Race results and photos are provided after the event, and race photos are free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
