Chasing Santa Half Marathon - Long Beach
Chasing Santa is a seasonal road running event on the Long Beach shoreline at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr, Long Beach, CA. The event on 12/20/2026 offers multiple distances on out-and-back courses that begin and end at the same location along the beach path.
Distances offered:
- 5K (one lap of the 5K route)
- 10K (two laps of the 5K route)
- 10 Mile (two laps of the 5-mile route)
- Half Marathon (two laps of the 5-mile route plus one lap of the 5K route)
Courses run on the beach path and remain on the pedestrian side. The course is not closed to other path users; runners are required to keep to the right side. On-course support includes two water stations, restrooms, clear turn markings, and signage. Bib pick-up is available in advance at a local store and at the start on race day. Participants may leave personal items with staff at the registration tent; runners should bring their own bag for gear check.
All finishers receive a race medal, and overall first place male and female are awarded 1st place medals per distance. Results and race photos are sent by email the day after the event; race photos are provided free of charge. Parking information: lot parking is paid and street parking is free.
