Event details
The 38th Charnwood Hills Race is scheduled for Sunday 1 February 2026. It is a fell race held under Fell Runners Association (FRA) rules. The course is approximately 14.5 miles long, follows public footpaths and open country, and involves over 1,500 feet of ascent through Bradgate, Broombriggs and Beacon Hill Country Parks. The going underfoot is rough. A race route map is provided by the organisers.
Entries and volunteers
Entries are on a first come, first served basis and open via EntryCentral at a stated time and date. On successful entry an entry fee of £18 is taken by card. The organisers reserve places for the three fastest women and three fastest men from the previous year; those runners are asked to contact the organisers if they cannot take their place. Volunteers, particularly marshals, are requested to support the event; volunteers receive a guaranteed entry to the 2027 race, which can be transferred to a friend or family member.
