Event Overview
The Tara Kinder Memorial 10K is an annual running event held on Friday, July 10, 2026. This non-profit race allocates all proceeds to local charities. The course consists of a 10 km distance on flat terrain, utilizing road and pavement surfaces. The event is limited to a maximum of 600 participants and is open to runners aged 15 years and older.
Location and Logistics
The race is centered at Elvaston Castle, with the main car park located off the Borrowash Road B5010. Participants can use the public toilets available in the main car park, though the venue does not provide showers or changing rooms. Refreshments, including hot and cold food and drinks, are available from a mobile stall on-site.
Race Day Provisions
Race numbers and timing chips are distributed for collection at the Race HQ starting in the evening. The event uses electronic chip-timing to record official results. After the race, participants can access digital photos free of charge from the official photographer. Every finisher receives a commemorative memento upon completion of the course.
Prizes and Regulations
Awards are presented to the first three male and female finishers overall. Prizes are also designated for winners in specific age categories, ranging from Under 20 to Veterans over 70.
