Tara Kinder Memorial 10k

The Tara Kinder Memorial 10K is an annual road running event held at Elvaston Castle. The course is characterized by a flat and fast profile, utilizing a mix of road and pavement surfaces. This competition is a non-profit event where all proceeds are donated to local charities. The race has a maximum capacity of 600 entrants and is open to participants aged 15 years and older.

The event utilizes electronic chip-timing to record participant results. Race numbers and timing chips are distributed on the day of the event from the race headquarters. Following the completion of the race, results are published based on the timing chip data. All finishers receive a commemorative memento for their participation.

Prizes are awarded to the first three men and women overall. Additionally, awards are presented to winners in specific age categories, including Under 20 and veteran groups ranging from 40 to 70 for both men and women. The awards presentation occurs shortly after the arrival of the lead runners.

Facilities at the venue include public toilets located in the main car park, though there are no changing rooms or showers available on-site. Parking is available at the Elvaston Castle main car park, where parking charges apply. A mobile refreshment stall provides food and drinks for purchase. Official race photography is provided, with digital images made available for participants to download after the event.

Safety regulations for the course prohibit the use of headphones, dogs, and buggies or pushchairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
