Nottingham Running Festival
The Nottingham Running Festival takes place at Nottingham Racecourse within Colwick Country Park. This event supports the Nottinghamshire Hospice and utilizes a flat course consisting of lakeside paths and wide trails. Participants run on a mix of road and gravel surfaces, with a portion of the route located inside one of the oldest racecourses in the United Kingdom.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different preferences:
- Half Marathon: A 21.1 km race consisting of 4 laps plus a mini lap with 20m elevation.
- 10k: A 10 km race featuring 2 laps and 10m elevation.
- 5k: A 5 km race consisting of a single lap with 5m elevation.
- Junior Race: A shorter distance event held on road terrain.
Each entry includes chip-timed results and free professional race photos. Participants receive a themed medal upon finishing, along with post-race goodies from event partners. The venue features an event village with food and drink options. Marshals are positioned along the course to provide guidance throughout the races.
The organizers offer technical t-shirts for purchase separately through a partnership with RT Kit to accommodate those who prefer not to have one included in the standard entry. The course is designed to be fast, with minimal elevation gain across all distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
