Charlottesville Fall Classic Half Marathon and 10K
The Charlottesville Fall Classic Half Marathon and 10K takes place on October 18, 2026 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Both races start and finish on the Historic Downtown Mall at the east end in front of the Ting Pavilion.
The course runs through historic neighborhoods, passes the historic Woolen Mills, and follows scenic paths along the Rivanna river. The route is hilly with about five miles of flat terrain along the river.

The half marathon has a 3.5 hour time limit, about a 16 minute per mile pace. There is a cutoff at mile 4.1; participants who reach that point later than one hour and six minutes after race start will be required to complete the 10K course only.
Packet pickup is available at the Appalachian Running Company on the Saturday before the race and on race morning at the start and finish. Other people may pick up a bib if they provide a copy or picture of the runner's ID.
Race shirts are technical shirts from Greenlayer in men's and women's cuts; sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations within three weeks of the event. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each race and to the top three in each listed age category; awards are not mailed.
The course is open to traffic; runners should follow police and volunteer instructions and be aware of vehicles. Parking is available in downtown parking decks and lots. An official training program is provided for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
