Buzz By Belmont 5K Fun Run
The Buzz By Belmont 5K Fun Run is a free community running event held in Charlottesville, Virginia at 1000 Belmont Ave on October 10, 2026. The event is organized by the Summit Parent-Teacher Organization and sponsored by local businesses. It has been part of the neighborhood for over 20 years.
This event serves as the sole fundraising activity for the Summit PTO. Funds raised support schoolwide snacks, school field trips that would not otherwise be possible, and two teacher appreciation lunches. Registration for the event is free; registration opens on August 10, 2026 and closes on October 10, 2026.
The Summit PTO frames the run as one of three school-year community events that support Summit families and teachers. The other events mentioned are the midwinter Soul Feast schoolwide dinner and the spring Fun Fair. All three events are free to Summit Elementary families.
