About the race
Charles Darwin Day is a running event organized by How Hard Can It Be Events, held at Shrewsbury Sports Village on Sundorne Road in Shrewsbury. Participants can choose from 5K, 10K, half marathon, or marathon distances. The race takes place on the venue’s purpose-built, traffic-free cycle track, with chip-timed laps designed for fast times and sociable running.
The course features aid stations at every lap and friendly marshals, with on-site facilities including a café, toilets, and changing/shower areas at the sports village. The event is limited to 150 places and awards a Darwin Day medal to all finishers, celebrating International Charles Darwin Day in his birthplace town.
