Charity Vyshyvanka Walk/Run 5K - Jersey City
The event is organized by Ukrainian Jersey City and will take place on August 23, 2026 at Exchange Place / J. Owen Grundy Park in Jersey City, New Jersey (10 Exchange Pl, 07302). This is the sixth annual Vyshyvanka Run and it coincides with a celebration of Ukrainian Independence Day.
The event raises funds for humanitarian efforts, with proceeds benefiting the Ambulances for Ukraine initiative. It also aims to preserve and share Ukrainian culture; organizers encourage participants to wear a vyshyvanka or dress in Ukrainian colors and to display Ukrainian flags.

- 200 meter Kids Vyshyvanka Walk/Run; free for children 12 and under
Registration for the 5K opens on June 8, 2026 and registration for the kids race opens on July 11, 2026. Registrations close on August 23, 2026. Every registered participant receives a Ukrainian Jersey City branded keepsake. The kids race requires advance registration so finishing medals and a local keepsake can be prepared for participants.
