Charity Vyshyvanka Walk/Run - 5K
Charity Vyshyvanka Walk/Run is an annual fundraising event in Jersey City on August 23, 2026. Organized by Ukrainian Jersey City, the event marks the sixth year of the Vyshyvanka Run and aims to preserve and share Ukrainian culture while raising funds for humanitarian aid.
The course follows the Jersey City waterfront along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway and starts at J. Owen Grundy Park, Exchange Place (10 Exchange Pl, Jersey City, NJ 07302). Proceeds will benefit the humanitarian initiative "Ambulances for Ukraine," which supports the provision of medical vehicles.

Registration for the main 5K opens June 8, 2026 and closes August 23, 2026; the registration fee for the main race is $45. Kids registration opens July 11, 2026 and closes August 23, 2026; the kids race is free but requires advance registration so organizers can prepare a finisher's medal and a keepsake.
Participants are invited to wear a vyshyvanka or Ukrainian colors and may carry Ukrainian flags. Registered participants will receive a Ukrainian Jersey City keepsake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
