NYRR Grete's Great Gallop 10K
This members-only road race takes place in Central Park (Naumburg Bandshell, West 72nd Street, Manhattan) on August 22, 2026. The event covers 10K on a course used for historic NYRR competitions and concludes with a post-race festival as part of NYRR’s Member Week (August 17–22).
Registration is open exclusively to active NYRR members at the time of registration. Some entries are eligible for 9+1 credit toward guaranteed entry programs. The race is scored and offers prize money in the NYRR Member Division and a separate 40+ division, with cash awards for top finishers and time-based bonuses; eligibility for member prize money requires a valid paid NYRR membership since at least May 22, 2026 and a course time of 42 minutes or faster for base prize eligibility.
All registrants receive a New Balance tri-blend t-shirt. Rising NYRR offers a free youth race-day program for children ages 2 to 11 with separate registration. Live unofficial tracking and results will be available via the NYRR app, and official results will be posted afterwards.
Event services note clear-bag size limits for bag check and that NYRR provides accessibility information and a process for guide or support runner requests. Entry fees are non-refundable; if local authorities cancel an offering, NYRR will communicate participant resolution options and events will not be rescheduled.
