NYRR Grete's Great Gallop 10K : Members Only
The NYRR Grete’s Great Gallop is a members-only 10K road race through Central Park on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The event is part of NYRR Member Week (August 17–22) and includes a post-race festival and member-focused activities. Registration is open only to active NYRR members; members must have an active NYRR membership at the time of registration.
The race is scored and serves as a 9+1 program qualifier. Prize money is offered for the NYRR Member Division and a 40+ division, with payouts for the top five finishers and separate amounts for the top three in 40+. To be eligible for prize money and time bonuses, a runner must have held a paid NYRR membership since at least May 22, 2026 and must complete the course within 42 minutes or faster. A small time-break bonus is available for winners who break the event record, and additional bonuses apply for meeting specified finishing standards.
All registrants receive a New Balance tri-blend t-shirt. Kids ages 2 to 11 can participate in a free Rising NYRR Stage 1 race-day program with separate registration. The event offers accessibility accommodations and a process for requesting guide or support runners; such requests must be placed at registration and at least two weeks before the race.
Race amenities include on-course scoring, live unofficial tracking via the NYRR app, and post-event official results. Bib pickup and bag-check details, as well as other race-day procedures, are announced closer to the event. All event information is subject to change.
