NYRR Grete's Great Gallop 10K
This members-only 10K takes place in Central Park, with the start area near the Naumburg Bandshell on West 72nd Street in Manhattan. The race is part of NYRR Member Week, a week-long series of member activities and perks that culminates in this member-only race and a post race festival.
The event is scored and serves as a 9+1 program qualifier. All registrants receive a New Balance tri-blend t-shirt. Live unofficial runner tracking is available in the NYRR app during the event; official results are posted afterward. Awards are presented on site to the top three overall finishers in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions. Age-group award claim procedures are handled after the race.
Prize money is offered in the NYRR Member Division and in the 40+ Member Division, with equal amounts for men, women, and nonbinary athletes. To be eligible for Member Division prize money and time bonuses, runners must hold a valid paid NYRR membership as specified in the event requirements and meet posted time standards, including a 42 minute or faster finishing requirement for certain prizes. Additional time bonuses are listed for record and performance standards.
The event includes free youth activities for children ages 2 to 11 through Rising NYRR Stage 1; registration for that program is complimentary.
