NYRR Grete's Great Gallop 10K
This is a members only 10K road race in Central Park held on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The event follows a full counter clockwise lap of the park on the Ted Corbitt Loop, passing Harlem Hill, the Three Sisters, and Cat Hill, then continues onto the 72nd Street Transverse toward the finish. The course uses East Drive near East 69th Street as the start area.
Registration is open only to active New York Road Runners members. A member only standby list may be used to allocate remaining spots. The race is part of NYRR Member Week and concludes with a post race festival.
All registrants receive a New Balance shirt. Bib and race premium pickup is available at the New Balance Run Hub and at Race Day Central at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park. Bag check is available at Race Day Central and only clear bags are accepted.
On course and post finish refreshments include water and Gatorade, and post finish snacks such as apples, pretzels, and popsicles. Reusable hydration cups are in use at the event. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions and to age group top finishers. There is prize money for member divisions and specific eligibility rules apply, including an NYRR membership requirement and a course time standard for prize eligibility.
