About the race
The BrewDog Christmas Run takes place on 28 December 2026 and finishes at BrewDog DogTap in Ellon. The event is organised as a fun run and is explicitly not a race.
The main route starts at BrewDog Castlegate in Aberdeen, runs through the city streets and then follows the old railway line that links Aberdeen to Ellon. On arrival in Ellon the route drops onto a riverside path that leads through the town toward BrewDog DogTap. An alternative start at Dyce Railway Station reduces the distance.
Distances
- Approx 21 miles (34k)
- Approx 15 miles (24k)
There are two drinks stations en route stocked with beer, prosecco, snacks and water, with checkpoint locations listed as Dyce (about 10k) and Udny Station (about 23k). Finishers can use the museum room at the back of DogTap or outdoor space if weather permits. The organiser provides a bag drop service transporting finish line bags from Castlegate or Dyce to the finish.
Each participant receives a bespoke event medal and a goody bag that includes a special edition t-shirt, beer, snacks and water. Participants may choose a tree planting in place of the t-shirt or take both for an additional fee of £6. Entry fees are tiered: £44 until 31 August, £48 until 31 October, and £52 from 1 November. The event has 200 places and entry status is listed as open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
