The BrewDog Christmas Run
The BrewDog Run is an event organized by The Fit Like Joggers that takes place three times per year. The Christmas edition is one of these recurring iterations, held toward the end of December. The event originated in 2016 and has received recognition at the UK Running Awards, where it was voted Best Fun Run in 2020. It also received a silver award for its medal design.
The event follows a point-to-point route in Aberdeen. Participants traverse a distance of 21 miles (34 km). The course starts at BrewDog Castlegate and leads through the town toward Dyce. From there, the path follows an old railway line through Newmachar. The route concludes in Ellon at the Dogtap brewery.
This event combines long-distance running with the brewery theme. Historically, participants have received limited-edition t-shirts and goodie bags. The course utilizes diverse terrain, including city streets and established rural trails along former rail corridors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
