Event information
The CHAMPIONS RUN takes place on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Sam Houston Trail Park, 101 I-635, Irving, TX 75038. The event includes the following distances:
- Half-Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Entry fees listed on the event page are $90 for the half-marathon, $55 for the 10K, and $45 for the 5K. Prices increase after October 31, 2025. Course maps for the half, 10K, and 5K are listed as "COMING SOON."
Registration, awards and volunteers
Registration includes an event-themed participation t-shirt (t-shirt cutoff is 12/14) and a finisher medal. Age group awards are given three deep in male and female divisions covering ages 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+. Overall and masters divisions (40+) and grand masters divisions (60+) receive gold medals plus a special award. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
The event is part of the Run Different series: participants can earn points at Run Different events during the year to discount this entry. Placings provide 2026 entry benefits, for example free entries for certain overall or age winners and percentage discounts for other placings. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry after completing a race-day task. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
