Take a Walk with HUHH 5K Run/Walk-a-Thon
Helping Us Help Her (HUHH) hosts a timed 5K run and walk on May 30, 2026, at Epic Central Lawn in Grand Prairie, Texas. The event supports a mentorship program for young ladies aged 13 to 18 and is expanding to welcome young men. The course distance is 3.1 Miles.
Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before at the HUHH Office in Grand Prairie. Participants may pick up a maximum of six packets per person and are asked to preregister on their personal device before arriving for packet pickup.
Volunteer roles include aid station staff who provide water and help keep the course clean, and course monitors who help with participant safety and traffic direction. Spectators may bring noisemakers, signs, music and costumes to encourage participants. A largest group award is designated for groups of ten or more participants.
Awards are given for overall male and female finishers and for top finishers in male and female categories. The event has a strict no refund policy and proceeds rain or shine. In extreme weather the event may be delayed, the course shortened or altered, or canceled for safety at the discretion of the Race Director. Virtual race options allow individuals to complete the course on their own if they cannot attend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
