Countdown to the Cup 5K
The Countdown to the Cup 5K is organized by the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee and takes place on May 30, 2026 in Coppell, Texas at 3111 Olympus Boulevard. The event offers two participation options: a live, in person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K run or run/walk.
Registration is available for both the live and virtual options. Registered participants receive an official race shirt and a finisher medal. Live participants receive chip timing and a commemorative race bib. Virtual participants receive a virtual race bib, may post their times to the RunSignUp website, and will receive virtual race packets by mail.
Adult registration for both options is $60 for ages 13 and up and $30 for youth ages 12 and under. Registration opens April 15, 2026 and closes May 29, 2026. For the live event there is no race day packet pickup or on-site registration; all race packets must be picked up in advance and a complete packet pickup schedule will be provided to live participants.
