- The bike is a two-lap out-and-back course along the lake edge, passing Glendhu Bay toward the Treble Cone area.
- The run is an out-and-back lakeside lap starting from the town and following Ardmore Street.
Other formats at the festival include an Aqua Bike with the same swim and bike distances, and a Junior Challenge with short swim, bike and run distances for primary-aged athletes. The event offers a unique medal, a finishers t-shirt and a neoprene swim cap for participants. Average local conditions cited are 19°C air, 16°C water and 15 kph wind.
