About the race
Child & Family Agency's CFA 5K Run & Walk for Mental Health takes place on October 31, 2026 in Groton, Connecticut at 1 Beach Pond Road. The event offers multiple short-distance options for participants and families.

- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
- 1.5 Mile Walk (untimed) - 1.5 miles
- Children's Fun Run - for children age 6 and under
Strollers and dogs on leash are welcome. After the races there will be costume contests for adults, children, pets, and groups, plus food trucks, vendors, and other family-friendly activities.
Proceeds support Child & Family Agency’s mental health programs and School-Based Health Centers that serve children and families in southeastern Connecticut. The agency provides services to more than 10,000 children and families each year. In a recent year, 3,700 students made approximately 22,000 visits to CFA School-Based Health Centers, including more than 11,000 behavioral health visits.
