Stonington Vineyards Wine Run Turkey Trot 5k
The Stonington Vineyards Wine Run Turkey Trot 5k is a 5-kilometer chip-timed run/walk held at Stonington Vineyards, 523 Taugwonk Rd, Stonington, CT. The course begins and ends at the winery and follows a two-lap, cross country style route that loops through the vineyards. There are areas of uneven footing; the route accommodates both runners and walkers.
Registration includes a T-shirt made from ring spun cotton, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, online posted results, and a pour of wine at the finish. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib; minors do not receive a wine glass or a glass of wine. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not permitted on site because of USDA restrictions. Walking is allowed.
Top three finishers in each age category receive custom age group awards. Age categories are in 10-year increments: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. Age group awards must be claimed on event day and are not available for shipment.
