Event Overview
The South Downs Way 100 is a non-stop foot race that follows the entire length of the South Downs Way National Trail. The course begins near the city of Winchester and travels east along the chalk ridgeway, finishing in Eastbourne. This event marks the 15th year of the race and is included in the Gran Canaria World Trail Majors Series.
Course Details
The route measures 100 miles and features varied terrain including rolling hills and ancient forts. Participants pass through several villages while encountering views that look north toward the Weald and south across the coast and the English Channel. The course is fully marked to assist with navigation throughout the journey.

Participant Information
The event is open to runners aged 20 and older. Participants have a total time limit of 30 hours to complete the course. Support services provided during the race include 12 stocked aid stations and full medical coverage. The registration fee depends on affiliation, with a reduced rate available for UKA members.
Location
The race starts at Matterley Bowl. This location serves as the jumping-off point for the trail which traverses the landscape of Southern England until reaching its conclusion on the coast. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
