Preston Fast 5 Road Race
The Preston Fast 5 Road Race is a 5K event held at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston. The course is traffic free and run over three laps using the one-mile lap cycle track. The organiser describes the course as flat with no tight corners and accurately measured.
Races are divided into two categories by expected finish time: a sub 18:00 minutes race and an over 18:00 minutes race. Each race has an entry limit of 60 participants. The minimum age is 16 years on the day of the race. Entries open on Monday 1 June 2026 and close on Monday 13 July 2026. There are no entries on the day.
Entry fees are listed as UKA member £7.00 and non member £9.00. The event is presented as a no frills 5K with no prizes. Race numbers can be collected on race day from 5.45pm. Toilet facilities are available at the Sports Arena. The organiser notes that entries are non-transferable and deferred entries are not permitted. The race forms part of a series of Wednesday evening events held during spring and early summer and is organised by Preston Harriers.
