Preston Fast 5 Road Race
The Preston Fast 5 Road Race is a 5K event held at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston on 15 July 2026. The race uses a traffic free, three lap course laid out on a one mile lap cycle track. The course is described as flat with no tight corners and is accurately measured. The event is organised by Preston Harriers and is one of four Wednesday evening races held during the spring and early summer.
Entries open on 1 June 2026 and close on 13 July 2026. The minimum age is 16 on the day of the race. Entry fees are listed as £7 for UKA members and £9 for non members. Each evening is split into two seeded races based on target performance: one for runners targeting sub 18:00 minutes with an entry limit of 60, and one for runners over 18:00 minutes with an entry limit of 80. There are no prizes and the event is described as no frills. Entries are non transferable and deferred entries are not permitted. Race numbers are collected on race day.
