Preston Fast 5 Road Race - Preston
The Preston Fast 5 Road Race is a measured 5K held at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston. The course uses a traffic-free, three-lap layout on a one-mile lap cycle track and is described as flat with no tight corners.
The event is presented as a straightforward, no-frills race with no prizes and the primary aim of providing an opportunity to run a fast time on an accurately measured course. It is organised by Preston Harriers and is one of four Wednesday evening races held during the spring and early summer.
Each meeting features two races by target finishing time: Race 1 for runners targeting under 18 minutes and Race 2 for runners targeting over 18 minutes. Entry limits are 60 runners per race and the minimum age on race day is 16 years.
Entries open on Monday 1 June 2026 and close on Monday 13 July 2026. Entry fees are shown as UKA member £7.00 and non member £9.00. There are toilet facilities at the Sports Arena and no entries are accepted on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
