Celebrate Life Survivors 5K & 1K : Gulf Coast, TX
This annual community event in the Houston area features a chip-timed 5K Walk/Run, an untimed 1K Family Fun Run/Walk, and a complimentary Survivor Celebration Lap. Proceeds remain in the Texas Oncology–Gulf Coast community to benefit Texas Oncology Foundation, Inc., supporting patient assistance and survivorship programs.
Key event elements include registration with event T-shirt availability, a finisher medal for 5K participants, and age-group awards for the 5K. Awards are presented to the first place male and first place female in each age group: 14 & under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over. The 1K is positioned as a family-friendly, untimed option and includes an official event T-shirt. The Survivor Celebration Lap is free to register; participants may request a T-shirt for an additional fee.
Registration fees vary by date: the 5K fee ranges from $30 to $45 and the 1K fee ranges from $15 to $25. A group discount applies when five or more participants register together, reducing each registration by $5. Participants who register on or before September 14 are guaranteed an event T-shirt in their preferred size.
Packet pickup takes place the Friday before race day at Texas Oncology-Webster and the main event is held on the University of Houston–Clear Lake campus on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
