Head for the Cure - Houston

The 14th Annual Head for the Cure 5K - Houston is a community event focused on raising awareness and funds for brain tumor research. The event takes place at the Pearland Town Center and brings together patients, families, caregivers, and supporters to celebrate the courage and spirit of those affected by brain cancer.

The event features various activities throughout the morning, including a specific time dedicated for a brain tumor survivor photo. Special recognition ceremonies are held to honor individuals in the community, such as the Keeping the Faith tribute for survivors, the Legacy of Love for caregivers and supporters, and the Healthcare Hero award for medical professionals. There is also a dedicated memorial to honor the lives of those who have battled brain cancer.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 5 km (run/walk)
  • 100 meter dash (Kids Fun Run)

The funds raised through this event support local brain tumor research at the MD Anderson Brain - Spine Center and Path to Hope. Contributions also benefit national brain cancer programs, education, and initiatives aimed at defeating the disease. The course is located within the Pearland Town Center area, and dedicated parking is provided for attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
