The CBTE Morland Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 16 August 2026. The event starts and finishes at Morland Village Hall, CA10 3AS, in the Eden Valley near Penrith. The minimum age is 17 or older. Course and race details
The route is a partially self-navigated trail of approximately 13.65 miles and follows some sections of the Morland Marathon route. The course is largely off-road on mixed terrain, passes rivers, becks, Eden Valley villages, woodlands and pastures, and includes about 1330 ft of elevation. The route has some signage but requires some self-navigation. The event is suitable for runners and walkers.
Facilities and prizes
Entry includes a finishers medal, a t-shirt, and water and snacks at two checkpoints. Trophies are awarded for 1st male, 1st female, 1st non-binary, and 1st male and female in the 50, 60 and 70 age categories. An OS Maps route is available for the course.
