CBTE Morland Half Marathon
The CBTE Morland Half Marathon is a partially self-navigated trail half taking place in the Eden Valley village of Morland near Penrith on 16 August 2026. The largely off road route passes rivers, becks, woodlands, pastures and several Eden Valley villages, and it uses parts of the Morland Marathon route.
The course covers a half marathon distance of approximately 13.65 miles and has about 1330 ft of total ascent. Some route signage is provided, but participants are expected to navigate sections of the course themselves. The surface is mixed terrain suited to trail running and walking.
Event administration notes include a minimum age of 17 years, entry fees listed as Affiliated £37.00 and Unaffiliated £39.00, and entry opening and closing dates of 18 August 2025 and 26 July 2026 respectively. The entry package includes a finishers medal, a t shirt, and provision of water and snacks at two checkpoints. Awards are given for first place male, female and non binary finishers, and for first male and female in the 50, 60 and 70 age categories.
