Cathy Fischer Memorial Walk and Run
This memorial walk and run takes place on July 12, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park, Section 46, in North Olmsted, Ohio. The event benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and commemorates a local runner who lived with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and supported fundraising for blood cancer research.
The event offers two distances:
- 5K (3.1 Miles) Run/Walk, route includes rolling hills
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
The 5K is chip timed using MyLaps BibTag. The 1 Mile is untimed. Finish line awards for the 5K include top male and female overall and trophies for the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 14 and under through 90 and over.
Registration features early bird pricing through April 14, 2026, with higher entry fees April 15 through July 11 and additional race day fees. Family rate is available for the 1 Mile during the early bird period. Mailed pre-registered entries have a separate receipt deadline in early July. Early packet pick up is scheduled the Friday before the event at The Gathering Place West.
All participants receive a commemorative cap and a silicone bracelet. Post-race refreshments are provided and age group awards are distributed for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
