Cathy Fischer Memorial Walk and Run
This memorial walk and run takes place in North Olmsted at Sunset Memorial Park, Section 46, on July 12, 2026. The event benefits Blood Cancer United and commemorates a woman who lived with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and who raised funds for LLS during her life.
Two distances are offered
- 5K (3.1 Miles) Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
The 5K uses chip timing (MyLaps BibTag); the 1 Mile is untimed. The 5K route includes rolling hills. Age group awards and top male and top female trophies are given for the 5K with multiple age categories from 14 and under through 90 and over. Post-race refreshments are provided.
Registration fees vary by period. For the 5K the fee is $25 early, $30 mid-registration, and $35 on race day, credit card only on race day. For the 1 Mile the fee is $20 early, $25 mid-registration, and $30 on race day; a family rate is listed for early registration with a maximum of four members. Early packet pick up is available before race day at The Gathering Place West. All mailed pre-registered entries must be received by July 8, 2026.
Participants receive a commemorative cap, a custom silicone bracelet, bibtag timing for the 5K, age group awards for the 5K, and post-race refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
