About the race
The Cleveland Turkey Trot is a community running event held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Cleveland. CSU Rec Center and Viking Public House are organizing the event as a Thanksgiving morning tradition in Northeast Ohio. The edition described is the 45th anniversary.
Runners and walkers can choose among several distances:
- 5-Mile
- 5K
- 1-Mile Walk
- Virtual 5 Mile, 5K, or 1 Mile
The in-person events stage at Public Hall Auditorium and Cleveland Public Auditorium (500 Lakeside Ave. E, Cleveland, OH 44114). The 5 Mile and 5K are chip timed. Race-day services include packet pickup inside Public Hall Auditorium and a bag check; items must be picked up before the building closes. Public Hall does not allow dogs inside.
The event program includes a charity program, team entries, a costume contest run by FreshWater, awards, course maps, parking information, and archived results and photos from past years. A virtual run option is available for participants who choose to complete a distance remotely.
