Cash Cow 5K
The Cash Cow 5K is a running event centered on a prize purse model that prioritizes cash payouts over traditional race amenities. The prize structure is designed to reward 114 different finishing positions. Cash awards are distributed to the top 50 men and top 50 women based on their overall finishing order. Additionally, the first-place male and female finishers in seven distinct age groups also receive cash prizes. These age categories range from 19 and under to 70 and over. To ensure more participants receive awards, the event employs a no double-dipping policy; if an age-group winner has already placed in the overall top 50, the age-group cash prize is awarded to the next eligible runner in that category.
The total prize purse is variable and increases as more runners register for the event. Participation is capped at a maximum of 400 runners. The race features professional chip timing to determine official finishing positions and prize eligibility.
