Cascade Crest 100
Cascade Crest 100 is a 100-mile endurance race through the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. The course passes through forested terrain with tall evergreens, wildflower meadows and rugged trail sections. The event is described as raw and rugged and is framed around trail running rather than paved surfaces.
The event centers on Easton, WA, where runners assemble at the Easton Fire House and return to a finish-line atmosphere marked by the phrase "Welcome back to Easton." The race operates under a special use permit through the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The event is supported each year by a community of race directors, volunteers, HAM radio operators and returning runners.
Cascade Crest 100 has been used as a qualifying race for other events. Runners who complete the race within 32 hours are eligible to enter a lottery for Western States 100 in the year indicated by race selection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
