NAV4 Daffodil Run and Walk
Held on 6 March 2027 with registration, start and finish at Pooley Bridge Memorial Hall, this is an out and back running and walking event to Hallin Fell along predominately the Ullswater Way. The full route covers 13 miles and follows trails, paths, a short stretch of tarmac lane and the open slopes of Hallin Fell.
The route runs via The Cockpit and Martindale Church and is signposted with event marshals at key points. Competitors will pass a checkpoint and drinks station at Martindale Church twice. Electronic timing and monitoring are used. Navigation is straightforward and no special skills are required.
The event accommodates a range of distances and turn back points:
- 13 miles full out and back to Hallin Fell
- Turn back at The Sitting Stone (about 6 miles)
- Turn back at Martindale Church (about 10 miles)
Entry options include solo and family team entries. Entry fees listed are Solo £20 per person and Family teams (maximum 6) £20 per person or £5 per person under 14. Group or club discount codes are available for larger groups prior to entry.
Free tea, coffee, cold drinks and a tray bake will be available in the village hall after the run or walk. Local pubs and cafes in Pooley Bridge are also available for post event refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
