Caribou Labor Day 5 miler
The Caribou Labor Day 5 miler is a community running event held in Caribou, Maine on Monday, September 7, 2026. It is the seventh race in the Crown of Maine Race Series and is sponsored by Powers Roofing and Sheetmetal.
Registration is offered both in advance and on race day at the Caribou Ski Building, with bib pick up and day-of registration beginning at 9:00 am. Online registration opens and closes according to the organizer's schedule. The registration fee is $15 through RunSignUp and $20 on race day, with no guarantee of a shirt for day-of registrants. The first 71 registered participants are eligible for a T-shirt in limited sizes (S, M, L, XL).
The event distance is 5 miles. A course route is provided by the organizer. Age divisions include 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Prizes are awarded to the top two male and female finishers in each division, plus overall male and female winners.
All proceeds will be donated to the Northern Skiers Club to fund a new snowmobile for trail grooming and maintenance. Walkers are allowed and may start 30 minutes before the run; recorded times will be adjusted accordingly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
