Grand Falls Running - Potato Festival

Grand Falls Running takes place in collaboration with the Grand Falls Potato Festival on June 28, 2026 in Grand Falls, New Brunswick. The event offers organized 5 km and 10 km routes led by volunteers and professionally chip-timed.

The start is located on the Potato Festival grounds near the bistro. The course follows rolling hills, a traffic-controlled street section, and then a fast, flat main section of the historic Trans Canada Trail overlooking the Saint John River. The 5 km turnaround and water station are at the foot of the old train track bridge. The 10 km continues past the 5 km turnaround toward the McCain plant, then returns on the same route to the finish.

Participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration and nutrition because self-serve water stations will be limited. Timing is provided by Atlantic Chip and official results will be updated during the event.

Registration includes a race bib with chip, Grand Falls Running branded items, a customized finishing medal, professional chip timing, free event photos, top three male and female awards per distance, a post-race Potato Festival bistro food voucher, free parking, certified first-aid trained course support, a running shoe friendship-laces station, and a selfie photo booth. Race kit pickup is available Saturday June 27 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm or Sunday June 28 from 7:30 am to 8:30 am at the festival grounds; another person may pick up a kit and a same-day pickup fee applies. Limited same-day registration will be offered at an increased price. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
