Care Net Owensboro 5K Reindeer Run/Walk
The event takes place in Owensboro, Kentucky at 199 W. Veterans Blvd on 12/05/2026. It is organized as a community running and walking event that records times for the purpose of awarding winner divisions. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday attire. Onsite activities include a visit with Santa, hot chocolate and coffee from Overflow Cafe, and snacks from Great Harvest Bread Company. Door prize drawings are included with race entry.
Distances and formats:
- 5K Run/Walk, timed event
- 100 m Reindeer Dash for children age 7 and under
- 5K Virtual Run or Walk option
The event offers a fundraising option open to participants and non-participants. Fundraisers can earn items such as a CNO beanie or fleece headband, a $30 registration refund, a hoodie, and other prize opportunities. Teams can be created for fundraising and eligible teams may receive recognition in the organizer's January newsletter.
Registration pricing and apparel notes are specified by the organizer. Early registration pricing is available beginning 9/21/2026. Race entry includes a long sleeved race shirt for registrants who meet the organizer's apparel deadline; registrants after that deadline do not receive the shirt. Children 13 and under receive a $5 registration discount.
Care Net Owensboro uses event funds to support confidential, no cost services including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STI testing and treatment, prenatal and parenting classes, and material resources. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
