Cardiff Taff Trail Half Marathon
The Cardiff Taff Trail Half Marathon is a road race held on Sunday 18th October 2026. The course starts from Pontcanna Fields and Bute Park, then heads north along the Taff Trail for a turnaround loop before returning to the start area.
The route mainly uses tarmac paths with one short stretch of compacted path. Drink stations are positioned at approximately 3.3 miles, 6.7 miles, and 9.8 miles. Chip timing is used. A 3 hour cut off applies under the event agreement with the council and Race HQ.
Race HQ and number collection are at the Scout Hall, Pontcanna Fields car park, Fields Park Road, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9LB. Number collection opens at 07:00 and closes at 08:00. Parking is available at several nearby locations but none have large capacity; local parking points include Pontcanna Fields (CF11 9LB), Llandaff Fields (CF11 9QJ) and Llandaff Rugby Club (CF5 2AZ).
Entries are available online, with some places possible on the day. Entry fees are £21 for affiliated runners and £23 for non-affiliated. Minimum age for entry is 17 on the day. Pre-entry closes on Friday 16th October 2026 or when the limit is reached. The event does not include finisher medals or T-shirts; category winner prizes are provided, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and age group winners listed depending on entries.
