Cardiff Summer Series
The Cardiff Summer Series is a four-race series held in 2026. The organiser describes the events as run along basic and simplistic lines. Series results are calculated by cumulative time across the four events.
Races start and finish within Pontcanna Fields and the finishes are located on the Spine Road near the Stables. The organiser has kept the courses used since 2019 to avoid the SWALEC stadium and to standardise the finish location. Routes use the river path, the cross path, Blackweir Bridge and the route known as "the Wall" at various points.
Distances and dates
- 1 mile: 13 May 2026 (online closing date 10 May 2026)
- 2 miles: 27 May 2026 (online closing date 24 May 2026)
- 3 miles: 17 June 2026 (online closing date 14 June 2026)
- 4 miles: 1 July 2026 (online closing date 28 June 2026)
Entry fees per race are £6 affiliated and £8 non-affiliated. Series entry before the first race is £22 affiliated and £30 non-affiliated. On-the-night entries cost an additional £2 and card payments can be accepted for on-the-day entries. No finisher medals or T-shirts are included; prizes are awarded on the night for the first three male and female finishers and series category winners.
Parking is available at several nearby locations but capacity is limited; attendees should check local parking restrictions or fees. Locations named include Pontcanna Fields, Llandaff Fields, Sophia Gardens and Llandaff Rugby Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
