Cardiff Pentath-Run (CPR)
Cardiff Pentath-Run is a two day, five event series where the overall result is based on cumulative time across the five events. The series is presented as the equivalent of a marathon distance when the event times are combined.
Distances included in the series:
- parkrun 5 km (incorporated into Cardiff parkrun)
- 10 km
- Half Marathon 21.1 km
- 1 mile 1.6 km
- Cross Country 4.5 km
All entrants receive a race pack that includes maps and route details; each runner is responsible for knowing the routes. Some individual events were available for separate entry with lower fees. Entry fees for the full series were listed as £32 affiliated and £34 non affiliated. Entrants must be 18 years or older on 29 August 2026, and entrants were asked to be able to complete a half marathon within 2 hours 45 minutes as a maximum for logistical reasons. Entries for the event are closed.
Course notes: the 10 km and the half marathon routes start near the stables and follow Spine Road, river paths and Millennium Bridge with a turnaround at the A48 underpass triangle; there are no distance markers on those courses. The cross country and one mile take place in Pontcanna Fields on grass with marked laps and a riverside route for the mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
