Cardiff Pentath-Run (CPR)
Cardiff Pentath-Run (CPR) is a two day cumulative-time challenge held on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2026. The event comprises five races across the weekend; overall results are based on the cumulative time from all five events, which together form a marathon distance.
Entrants receive a runners pack with maps and route details and are responsible for knowing the routes. All entrants must be 18 years or older on 29 August 2026. Entry fees for the full event are listed as £32 affiliated and £34 non-affiliated. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 26th August 2026. There is an event fitness requirement: entrants must be able to run a half marathon in under 2 hours 45 minutes to enter the full challenge.
Distances included:
- parkrun 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon 21.1 km
- Cross country 4.5 km
- 1 mile (1.6 km)
Course notes: the parkrun is incorporated into Cardiff parkrun and runners should attend the briefing and collect numbers before the parkrun. The 10 km and half marathon courses have no distance markers. The cross country race is three laps on grass in Pontcanna Fields, marked with small orange and yellow flags and marshals. Prize categories include 1st–3rd male and female and age group prizes dependent on entries.
T-shirt orders may be coordinated for a minimum overall order of 20, with a likely cost near £15 and sizes XS to XXL. The order deadline for shirts is Sunday 23 August 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
