Cardiff 5K Race For Victory, 2 May 2027
The Cardiff 5K Race For Victory is a timed 5 kilometre road race and fun run held in Whitchurch, Cardiff on Sunday 2 May 2027. The event is run under the rules and regulations of Welsh Athletics and official results will be posted.
The course is a closed-road city route with temporary road closures on Merthyr Road between The Plough and the Fino Lounge and managed traffic control. Organisers plan a rolling road closure along the route to protect competitors, marshals and the public. The route follows Merthyr Road, Penlline Road, Kelston Road, Heol Don, Station Road, Gabalfa Avenue, College Road, Bishops Road, Bishops Place and Church Road, returning to Merthyr Road for the finish. The road reopens as sections are clear and safe.
Competitors must be aged 11 years or over. All entrants receive a limited edition Race For Victory technical T-shirt showing the names of participants. No finisher medal is provided. Prizes are awarded at a prize giving ceremony on race day only; unclaimed prizes cannot be delivered or collected later.
Entry opens 1 September 2026 and the event is organised by K & M Sports Events. A course measurement has been recorded and the race will be marshalled and marked to national standards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
