Event overview
The Capernwray Mid Week Series August is a triathlon and open-water swim event held on Wednesday 5 August 2026 at Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Capernwray Road, Carnforth, LA6 1AD. The event is part of a mid-week series with other dates in June, July and September 2026. Minimum age to enter is 15 on the event date. Entries open 12 September 2025 and close 4 August 2026. Entry requires a SiEntries account.
Registration location is weather dependent and may be upstairs in the café or outside by the transition area. A briefing is held waterside. The event includes free parking, water safety cover, timing, professional photographs, toilets and changing rooms. There is an option to purchase XCover which may allow a refund in some circumstances.

The swim takes place in the flooded quarry at Capernwray. The bike route is described as undulating through lanes of Lancashire and the run follows a loop along the Lancaster canal tow path. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
