Farleton Knott (BOFRA)
This is a fell race held on Farleton Knott by kind permission of the Dallam Tower Estate. The race takes runners up the front of the fell, across the top, then down the ascent line and back along the lower path around the base of the fell.
The course distance is 2.60 miles (4.20 km) with 750 feet (230 m) of climb. The event counts as a BOFRA Championship counter. The senior course was changed in 2021. Separate routes are provided for senior and under-17 runners and for junior competitors.
Location details given include A6070, one mile from M6 Junction 36 and about five miles south of Kendal, postcode LA6 1PB. The site is half a mile north of Farleton Knott towards Keswick. Grid reference 536814 and What Three Words ///knees.blockage.slant are provided for the venue.
