Cape Fear 24 Hour
Cape Fear 24 Hour is an endurance run held in Lillington, NC, at 405 S 1st St. The event takes place on a USATF certified and sanctioned 0.59 mile asphalt loop that circles the town Parks and Recreation baseball fields. Most of the course is flat, with one small incline.
There is ample parking and space to set up a site close to a vehicle. Tents are permitted during the event, but open-air fires are not allowed. Restrooms are located a few steps off the course. When it gets dark, the Town of Lillington will turn on park lights so a headlamp will not be necessary.
Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing. One fully stocked aid station offers typical ultra-buffet foods, including water, Gatorade, and assorted soft drinks. Hamburgers, hotdogs, pizzas, and soups will be available later in the day.
A special award will be given to the participant who runs the most miles while wearing a costume. Participants who register by September 1st are guaranteed a shirt.
