CanLake Ultras is held on October 10, 2026 at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, New York. The event centers on road courses around Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes region. The 50 mile course is a single road loop around the lake with mostly flat to rolling roads and several major climbs, including Bopple Hill. The event field includes 11 aid stations positioned along the course.
The 50 km option covers the final 31 miles of the 50 mile route and features noticeably less climbing than the first 19 miles of the longer course. Personal handlers and pacers are permitted under race rules; handlers must follow the event safety rules or the runner’s result can be disqualified.
Organizers made several changes for 2026, including a new course layout and a new 5 person relay option for the 50 mile distance with a limited number of spots. Volunteers receive a race shirt and post-race meal; some key volunteer positions receive complimentary entry to a future event, and non-profit groups volunteering as a group will receive a portion of race revenue.
