CanLake Ultras
The CanLake Ultras takes place on October 10, 2026, in Canandaigua, New York, with the event base at Finger Lakes Community College. The program centers on a 50 mile road loop around Canandaigua Lake. The route includes mostly flat to rolling roads and several major climbs, including Bopple Hill. The race is fully supported with multiple aid stations that provide fuel and scenic lake views.
There are multiple event options within the CanLake Ultras:
- 50 mile Solo: one road loop around Canandaigua Lake, includes several major climbs
- 50 km Solo: point to point over the final 31 miles of the 50 mile route
- 50 mile Relay Captain: 5 person relay option with a limited number of spots
- Solo Pacer: pacing role for solo runners during the event
Personal handlers are permitted when they follow the event safety rules; failure to follow rules can result in disqualification. Registration policies for the event include relaxed deadlines and no fees for participant transfers, distance switching, deferrals, or refunds under the stated conditions. Volunteers receive a race shirt and a post race meal; some key volunteer positions receive additional benefits and non profit groups volunteering as a group may receive a portion of race revenue.
