CanLake Ultras

CanLake Ultras is a multi-event ultrarunning event held in Canandaigua, New York, with the start and finish area at Finger Lakes Community College. The main course is a roughly 50 mile road loop around Canandaigua Lake that combines mostly flat to rolling roads with several major climbs, including Bopple Hill. The event is fully supported with 11 aid stations positioned along the course.

A 50 km Solo event follows the final 31 miles of the 50 mile route and contains significantly less climbing and descending than the first 19 miles of the 50 mile course. A Solo Pacer option is available. In 2026 organizers introduced a five person relay option for the 50 mile race with a limited number of team spots.

Volunteers receive a race shirt and a post race meal. Aid station captains and some key volunteer positions receive free entry to other events organized by the race committee. Nonprofit organizations volunteering as a group are eligible to receive a portion of race revenue to be determined after the event.

The organizer has relaxed registration policies for transfers, distance changes, deferrals, and refunds. Participant transfers and distance switching are allowed through October 8, 2026 without fees. Deferrals are allowed through September 19, 2026 without fees. Refunds are available through September 5, 2026 for the registration fee but do not include RunSignup fees.
