Campobello Coastal Challenge
The event takes place on August 22, 2026 on Campobello Island, starting at Roosevelt Campobello International Park and continuing into Herring Cove Provincial Park. It features trail routes that follow the island coastline and inland forested sections along Passamaquoddy Bay.
Runners encounter a mix of forested trails, rocky beaches, coastal cliffs and bog boardwalks. The course includes a 2.7 km stretch of beach and sections of old growth Acadian Forest.

- 25 km loop
- 50 km double loop
The 25 km and 50 km routes begin at the historic park core, cross rocky coastal outcrops and tidal bogs, enter Herring Cove Provincial Park for the beach section, then return to trails back to the start area. The 10 km follows part of the 25 km loop before turning inland to join the same final leg.
Aid stations are located at 8 km 12.7 km and 19.3 km on the 25 km course and around 5 km on the 10 km course. Water Skratch and assorted nutrition will be available. Race kit pick up is available the evening before at Herring Cove campground and on the morning of the event near the start area. The event does not provide disposable cups so participants must bring their own cup bottle or hydration bladder. Toilet facilities and first aid will be available at the start and along the course.
