Camp CARE Annual Memorial 5K
The Camp CARE Annual Memorial 5K is an evening running event held at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina. This annual race is organized to support Camp CARE (Cancer Ain’t Really the End), a non-profit organization providing support for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The proceeds from the event help fund a week-long summer camp and various year-round activities for children who have or have had cancer.
The event features a glow theme, and participants are encouraged to run or walk the course. There are multiple ways to participate in the event:
- MEMORIAL 5K: A standard 5-kilometer race for runners and walkers.
- FUN RUN: A shorter run open to participants of all ages.
- VIRTUAL 5K: A remote option allowing participants to complete the distance from any location.
The race is also known as the PJ St. Martin and Zack Dobbin Memorial. Participants have access to race shirts and finisher medals as part of the event offerings. The venue for the physical race, Frank Liske Park, is located at 4001 Stough Road. This community-focused event serves as a fundraiser to ensure that families can attend Camp CARE programs at no cost. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
