Callaway Gardens Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon : Pine Mountain, GA
This event at Callaway Gardens uses Robin Lake Beach and nearby park roads for a sprint triathlon and a duathlon. The race is organized by TriColumbusGa and takes place entirely inside or around Callaway Resort & Gardens.
Distances offered:
- Triathlon: 400 m swim, 9 mile bike, 2 mile run
- Duathlon: 1 mile run, 9 mile bike, 2 mile run
The swim takes place around the perimeter of Robin Lake. The bike course is a single 9 mile loop that begins and ends inside Callaway Gardens and is open to park traffic; volunteers and posted signs mark the route. The run route passes through garden areas and includes one hydration and nutrition station around mile 1 serving water and Cerasport.
Logistics include packet pick up at the Circus Tent adjacent to Robin Lake, a transition area in the Robin Beach Lake parking lot, and race day bike check in only. All participants must be USA Triathlon members or obtain a one day USAT membership and must show government issued photo ID at packet pick up. Technical support is available on course but athletes should be self-sufficient for basic repairs.
Awards are given to top finishers overall and in age groups, and participants receive a medal and a t shirt; triathletes are provided swim caps.
