Pine Mountain Fest Half Marathon and 5K
The Pine Mountain Fest Half/5k takes place in Pine Mountain, Georgia, featuring courses set along the Man O' War Trail. The event utilizes a scenic route characterized by wooded views and rolling terrain. Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile course with a four-hour time limit.
- 5K: A 3.1-mile run or walk on the paved trail.
The half marathon course is supported by four to five aid stations located approximately every 1.5 to 2 miles. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and various snacks such as pretzels and chips. For participants in the longer distance, pacers are available in 15-minute increments to help maintain specific target times. Lead and sag cyclists are also present for both race distances to assist with course navigation and safety.
All participants receive finisher medals upon completing their respective races. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in age group categories ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over. Packet pick-up is held at the local baseball field on the morning of the event.
