About the race
Last at the Lake 2027 is a two day trail running event at West Point Lake, Georgia, held on July 23 and July 24, 2027. The venue is Turkey Run Trail at 500 Resource Management Drive, West Point Lake. The event includes a Last Man Standing format and a traditional 50K trail race.
Distances
- Last Man Standing: repeated 5K loop each hour until one runner remains
- 50K Trail Race: ten laps of the 5K course, total 31 miles
The course is a 5K loop that combines grassy lakeside trails, shaded single track through the woods, and a short paved section under half a mile. Each lap has approximately 150 feet of elevation gain and is described as well marked with lake views. The loop format returns runners frequently to the start and aid area.
Online registration closes July 21, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET and total entries are limited to 100 runners. Early bird pricing applies through November 1, 2026; posted entry fees vary by event and registration date. Cash prizes include $100 for the last runner standing and $100 for the fastest 50K finisher, plus awards for the top three male and female finishers in each event.
Participants receive a race t shirt, a finisher medal, and aid station support. The event takes place in mid July, when summer heat can affect conditions on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
