Last at the Lake 50k & Last Standing
Last at the Lake takes place on July 25, 2026 at West Point Lake, Georgia, with events hosted at 500 Resource Management Drive. The program includes two race formats that use a repeatable 5K loop on the Turkey Run Trail.
Race options:
- Last Man Standing: 5K loop repeated each hour
- 50K Trail Race: ten 5K laps (50K)
The Last Man Standing format requires runners to complete a 5K loop every hour until one runner remains. The final runner to complete a loop within the hour receives a $100 prize. The 50K event is ten laps of the same 5K course; the first runner to complete all ten laps receives a $100 prize. Entry is limited to 100 runners total, and registration fees increase after May 1, 2026.
Course details note that each 5K lap includes grassy trails along the lake, shaded single-track through woods, a short pavement stretch under 0.5 miles, and about 150 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course is described as well marked and varied, with lake views and natural shade in some sections.
Awards are planned for the top three male and female finishers in each event. Participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
