Last at the Lake 2026

The Last at the Lake event offers two trail race formats: a Last Man Standing race and a 50K trail race. Both events start on the same day. The total number of participants is limited to 100 runners.

Events and Format

Last Man Standing: Runners must complete a 5K loop every hour. The race continues until only one runner remains who can complete a loop within the hour. The last runner standing wins a cash prize.

50K Trail Race: This is a classic ultra-distance race where runners complete 10 loops of the same 5K course. The first runner to finish all 10 laps wins a cash prize.

Course

The event takes place on the Turkey Run Trail at West Point Lake, Georgia. Each 5K loop uses scenic grassy trails along the lake, shaded single-track through the woods, and a short section of pavement. The loop has approximately 150 feet of elevation gain.

Awards and Participant Items

A $100 cash prize is awarded to the winner of the Last Man Standing race and to the fastest finisher of the 50K race. The top three male and female finishers in each event also receive awards. All participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
