CACTUS MAN Triathlon, Aquabike & Duathlon
The 8th annual CACTUS MAN event takes place at Tempe Arts Park and Tempe Town Lake. The race offers triathlon, aquabike and duathlon formats with Sprint and International distances available for individuals and relay teams.
Distances:
- Triathlon Sprint - 750 m swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Triathlon International - 1500 m swim, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Duathlon Sprint - 3.1 mile run, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Duathlon International - 3.1 mile run, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Aquabike Sprint - 750 m swim, 10 mile bike
- Aquabike International - 1500 m swim, 20 mile bike
Racer amenities include a long sleeve hoodie, finisher medal, post-race refreshments and awards for top finishers. Awards are given to overall and age-group top three finishers and to top finishers in categories such as paratriathlete, aquabike, duathlon, Clydesdales, Athenas and relays.
The event is chip timed; timing chips must be worn and returned. CACTUS MAN is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must hold an annual USAT membership or purchase a one-day membership. Packet pickup is scheduled before race day with an expo and optional bike check-in at the race location. Swim start and finish are at Arts Park; if Tempe Town Lake is unusable the event will be conducted as a duathlon. Paid automated parking is available nearby.
