CACTUS MAN Triathlon, Aquabike & Duathlon
Cactus Man is a multisport event held on April 26, 2026 at Tempe Arts Park in Tempe, Arizona. The 2026 edition is the final year the event will be held in Tempe. The event includes triathlon, duathlon and aquabike formats with options for individuals and relay teams.
Distances:
- Triathlon - Sprint: 750m swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Triathlon - International: 1500m swim, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Duathlon - Sprint: 3.1 mile run, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Duathlon - International: 3.1 mile run, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Aquabike - Sprint: 750m swim, 10 mile bike
- Aquabike - International: 1500m swim, 20 mile bike
The swim start and finish take place at Tempe Arts Park with sprint and international courses following different marked lines. The event uses a rolling start for swims. If Tempe Town Lake is unusable, the event will proceed as a duathlon. Chip timing is used and chips must be returned at the finish line.
Racer amenities include a long sleeve hoodie, finisher medal and post-race refreshments. Awards are given for top finishers, including overall and age group placements, plus categories such as paratriathlete, aquabike, duathlon and relay divisions. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and participants must hold an annual or one-day USAT membership. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
