Course and logistics notes: swim start and transition are at the east end, bike out and run out at the west end; transition ground is rough. The bike course is out and back toward Carefree Highway with sprint laps and Olympic laps, no water stations so athletes must self-support, and the road is restricted to local traffic. Chip timing is used; chips are worn on the left ankle and must be returned. Wetsuit rules follow USAT temperature guidelines. Packet pickup and race packet contents are communicated in advance.
