Surprise Spring Training 5K and 1K Fun Run
The event takes place on March 6, 2026, at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona. It is the 8th annual Spring Training 5K & 1K Fun Run and honors America’s 250th anniversary and the role of baseball in the community. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1K Fun Run
- Virtual Run
Event details
All participants receive a custom event finisher's medal and a custom dri-fit tech t-shirt (option to select no shirt for a $5 discount). Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the event at Surprise Stadium, with additional packet pick-up available on race day. A buy-one-get-one free lawn seat voucher to any remaining 2026 Spring Training game at Surprise Stadium is available at packet pick-up.
Registration prices listed are: 5K - $33.49, 1K Fun Run - $17.43, Virtual Run - $33.49. Virtual race entries are restricted to U.S. addresses; virtual packets are mailed the week following the event. Race day registration is available at higher fees.
Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in each age group for the 5K (race day participants only). Course maps are provided online and courses are subject to change if the Race Director deems them unsafe. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome; roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are prohibited. Walkers are welcome.
