Butterfly Run Nanaimo Van Isle, October 3, 2026
The Butterfly Run Van Isle in Nanaimo is a memorial walk/run dedicated to supporting people affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. The event aims to build community, raise awareness, and raise funds for local and provincial support programs.
The event takes place at Westwood Lake, Nanaimo, British Columbia. It offers two distances for running and walking:
- 5 km
- 3 km
Paid registrations include a race kit and a t shirt, with an option to decline the kit. Adult registrations include a t shirt and September 1 is the deadline to guarantee a preferred size; late registrations cannot guarantee sizes. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; race kit and shirt are not included for children. Children size shirts are available for purchase at registration and will not be available after September 1. Race kit pickup is available on event day and a pre-race pickup option is listed as TBD.
All proceeds support the Butterfly Support Network to provide free programs such as counselling, support groups, and peer support for families across British Columbia. Race registrations are non refundable. If the event becomes entirely virtual, refunds will not be issued but participants will still receive their race kit and shirt.
