Butterfly Run Nanaimo
The Butterfly Run Vancouver Island event on October 3, 2026 is a memorial walk/run held at Westwood Lake in Nanaimo, British Columbia. It is the fifth annual Butterfly Run Van Isle in Nanaimo and offers community-focused running and walking options.
The event supports people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. All proceeds go to the Butterfly Support Network to fund free programs such as counselling, support groups, and peer support for families across British Columbia. Light refreshments and community resource tables are provided at the event tent after the run.

Race administration notes: adult registrations include a t-shirt and a race kit by default, with an option during registration to decline the race kit or t-shirt. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; children-size t-shirts can be purchased at registration for CA$15. The last day to guarantee preferred adult t-shirt size and to purchase children’s shirts is September 1. Race kit pickup is available on race day at Westwood Lake and a pre-race pickup option is listed as to be determined. Parking at Westwood Lake is limited. Registration fees vary by registration period and registrations are non-refundable; if the event becomes entirely virtual, refunds are not issued but race kits and shirts will still be provided.
