Butterfly Run Nanaimo
The Butterfly Run Van Isle in Nanaimo is a memorial run and walk held on October 3, 2026 at Westwood Lake, Nanaimo, BC. The event offers short community distances for participants who wish to run or walk.

The event is organized to support people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. All proceeds support the Butterfly Support Network and fund free programs such as counselling, support groups, and peer support for families across British Columbia.
Paid adult registrations include a race kit and a t-shirt, with an option to decline the race kit or the t-shirt during registration. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; their race kit and t-shirt are not included and children's shirts can be purchased for CA$15 at registration or possibly on race day. September 1 is the last day to guarantee a preferred adult t-shirt size; late registrants may not be guaranteed a t-shirt. Race registrations are non-refundable. If the event becomes fully virtual, refunds will not be issued but race kits and shirts will still be provided.
Race kit pickup is available before the event at Westwood Lake Second Beach and on race day. Limited parking is available at Westwood Lake. Light refreshments and community resource tables are provided after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
