Westwood Lake Triathlon : May 10, 2026
The 9th Annual Westwood Lake Triathlon takes place May 10, 2026 at Westwood Lake Park in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The event features lake swimming, a bike course that runs west of Hwy 19 through East Wellington, and a run on the packed trail circling Westwood Lake.
Race format
- Swim in Westwood Lake with transition in the parking lot.
- Bike course includes rolling sections through East Wellington; the standard distance passes Brannen Lake.
- Run is a lakeside trail loop: one lap for sprint, two laps for standard, finish at the main beach.

- Sprint individual, minimum age 16 by Dec 31, 2026.
- Standard individual, minimum age 18 by Dec 31, 2026.
- Standard aquabike individual.
- Sprint relay, minimum age 15 for team members.
Logistics and policies Race package pickup is at Westwood Lake Park: Saturday May 9, 13:00–17:00 and Sunday May 10 starting at 06:30. Registration includes a supported swim course, traffic-controlled bike course, aid stations on the run, silicone swim caps, body marking, medical staff, volunteers, a quality race garment and post-race nourishment. All entries are non-refundable; an optional Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program is available. Transfers and sub-event changes are allowed under stated deadlines.
