Course details
Transition is located at the main beach parking lot, adjacent to the water and secured with fencing. The swim starts off the main beach and is a counter-clockwise loop marked with large orange buoys and yellow buoys at corners. Swim distances: Sprint - 750 m, Standard - 1,500 m (two loops). Expected water temperature is 16-17 degrees C. Swim cut-offs apply.
The bike course shares an initial 10 km section for all athletes and then follows a single-loop out-and-back route through roads west of Hwy 19, including Jingle Pot Road, Brannen Lake and Dumont/Doumont Road. Traffic-controlled intersections are used and athletes must keep to the right and display the required bike frame number.
The run uses the Westwood Lake Trail; each loop is 5.2 km. Sprint is one loop, Standard is two loops. Aid stations are provided on the run course and participants are asked to dispose of garbage at those stations.
