Bastion 12K : Event overview
Bastion 12K is part of the Vancouver Island Race Series and is scheduled for 22 February 2026. The event is listed at Aspengrove School, 7660 Clark Dr, Lantzville, BC V0R 2H0. Course, entry and rules
The course is described as a gently rolling, rural road route that is nearly traffic-free and contains two 180-degree turns. Online registration will close on Friday, February 7. Regular and late entry prices are listed at $45.18 and $55.94 respectively. Registration fees include an administration fee but do not include 5% GST. Entry is non-refundable and non-transferable. An online processing fee applies; payment is in Canadian funds by major credit card.
The series and this event are open to runners, racewalkers, walkers, and wheelchair athletes only. Prohibited items include roller blades, strollers, and personal cycling. Pets are not permitted except registered guide dogs. Visually impaired participants with an assisting runner or guide dog must start at the back of the field. Organizers will follow provincial health orders and participants who are ill should not attend. Headphones are discouraged and may lead to disqualification if they cause an impediment.
