Event overview

Bastion 12K is a road running race in the Vancouver Island Race Series scheduled for 22 February 2026 at Aspengrove School, 7660 Clark Dr, Lantzville, BC. Online registration closes on 7 February. Entry fees include an administration fee but do not include 5% GST; the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration pricing includes regular and late periods with different rates.

Events in the series are open to runners, racewalkers, walkers, and wheelchair athletes only. The following are not permitted: roller blades/inline skates, strollers, and unauthorised cycling. Only registered guide dogs are permitted to accompany participants. Visually impaired participants accompanied by an assisting runner or guide dog must start at the back of the field.

Headphones are not permitted; wearing them and impeding another participant, emergency response, or race officials can result in disqualification. Organizers state they will follow provincial health orders and BC Athletics guidance; proof of vaccination and mask requirements may apply for access to some indoor venues and tents.
