Butter Tart Festival Race : Burlington, ON
The event offers in-person and virtual race options at Spencer Smith Park, Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario. Available distances are:

- 3 km
- 5 km
Each race kit includes a finisher medal and butter tarts. Kits also include additional items such as a phone lanyard (multiple color options) and a key tag depending on the chosen package. The 2026 medal design will be announced.
The 3 km and 5 km races are chip timed by Speed River Timing, with results posted on speedrivertiming.com shortly after crossing the finish line. Virtual participants can track their activity with the ASICS Runkeeper app or submit results manually; virtual finishers receive a certificate. Virtual entrants will also receive butter tarts.
The course is an out-and-back route along Burlington's walking trails and is described as flat. Strollers are permitted but should start from the back of the corral. Dogs are not permitted to take part in any of the events. A $10 discount is available for youth aged 16 and under and for seniors aged 65 and over. Volunteers receive free race entry.
The event supports the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation and includes a collection of non-perishable food items. If the in-person event is cancelled, participants will be moved to the virtual race and no refunds will be issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
