Butler Bulldog Jog - April 11, 2026
The Butler Bulldog Jog is hosted by Indy Runners and Walkers at Butler University. The event gathers in front of the Butler Health and Recreation Complex (HRC) and Hinkle Fieldhouse. The start is on Sunset Avenue near Chatham Tap and the finish is on Lake Street behind Chatham Tap near the pond and bell tower. Parking is available in the Hinkle Fieldhouse parking lot. A virtual option is offered for remote participants, with race shirts mailed to virtual entrants. Participants may add an optional medal to their registration.

The 5k and 10k routes run through Butler’s campus; the 5k is described as a flat, fast tour of campus. Strollers are permitted only on the 5k because the Canal Towpath is narrow in places. Friendly dogs are allowed on the 5k but are not permitted on the 10k route through Newfields. Registration prices listed on the event page include $30 for the 5k, $40 for the 10k, and $25 for the 1-mile and virtual options; prices increase after November 30, 2025. Indy Runners members and Butler students and staff receive a $10 discount. Proceeds support Butler HRC student wellness and grant programs, Indy Runners giving back initiatives, and the Indianapolis Humane Society; roughly $6,000 was raised for beneficiaries in 2025.
