About the race
The Butler Bulldog Jog on 04/10/2027 takes place at Butler University Health and Recreation Complex in Indianapolis, IN. The program offers in-person and virtual options and includes on-campus supporters.
Distances:
- 5K: campus tour, flat and fast; open to families and racers.
- 10K: 18:00 pace expectation; cutoff near Mile 4.7; finish via Holcomb Gardens.
- One mile Dawg Walk: walking only; proceeds support the Indy Humane Society.
- Virtual race: remote participation; race shirts mailed to participants.
Organizers and partners include Butler University, Indy Runners, and the Indy Walkers running club. On-campus supporters named for the day include Butler Blue, Butler Cheer and Hink, and the Butler Pep Band. Donations and participant contributions are split among Butler HRC student programs, Indy Runners' Giving Back initiatives, and the Indy Humane Society.
Dogs may run the 5K but are not allowed on the 10K through Newfields. Running strollers should be limited to the 5K because the Canal Towpath has narrow sections that make passing difficult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
